These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Golf Group Admin website and desktop and mobile applications (together, the "app" or "Service"), operated by James Simpson ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information and is part of these Terms.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. A group administrator may add members to a group; if you are added as a member, these Terms apply to your use of the app. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. Do not share your login, and tell us promptly at support@golfgroupadmin.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
3. Groups, administrators, and content
Golf Group Admin is organized around golf groups. A group administrator sets up a group, manages its members, roles, settings, and games, and is responsible for the group's use of the Service and for the members they add. Within a group, information such as your name, handicap, scores, teams, standings, and amounts owed or won is visible to other members and administrators as needed to run the group.
You keep ownership of the content you enter (such as scores and profile details). You grant us a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the Service. You are responsible for the content you enter and for having the right to enter it.
4. What the Service is — and is not
Golf Group Admin is a scorekeeping, scheduling, handicapping, and record-keeping tool for golf groups. Please understand the following about how it works:
- We do not handle your money. The app records and calculates amounts such as dues, entry fees, skins, prize funds, payouts, and side bets as a convenience and record for your group. It does not collect, hold, escrow, transfer, or process any of that money. All settlement of amounts among members happens directly between the members, outside the app. We are not a party to those arrangements and are not responsible for them.
- Side bets and wagers are between players. Any wagers, skins, or games of chance recorded in the app are private arrangements between the players involved. Golf Group Admin is not a gambling operator, sportsbook, or money transmitter, and does not facilitate any payment. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any wager you record is legal where you are and complies with all applicable laws. Do not use the Service for any unlawful betting or gambling.
- Handicaps and results are for your group's own use. Handicap indexes, course handicaps, scores, standings, and payouts computed by the app are provided for your group's convenience. They are not an official handicap issued by the USGA, a golf association, or any handicapping authority, and may not match an official index. Please verify important figures.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Some features may be offered under a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew for the stated period unless cancelled before the renewal date, and you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices or plans with reasonable advance notice.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
- harass, abuse, or harm other users, or enter false or misleading information about others;
- attempt to access accounts, groups, or data you are not authorized to access;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; or
- copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by law.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, look and feel, and the "Golf Group Admin" name and logo, belongs to us and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties to function, such as push-notification providers and course data providers. Those services are outside our control, and we are not responsible for them. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that provider's own terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation, handicap, score, or payout figure will be accurate or complete. You use the Service, and rely on its figures, at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, any dispute between members of a group over scores, standings, money, or wagers, which is solely between those members. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars ($50).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of another person.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or us. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.
13. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change or discontinue features of the Service, and we may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date above and may notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
